Jens
62 years, Hamburg

When Jens was no longer able to pay his rent, he moved in with his mother. She passed away in 2014 — a profound turning point in his life. Shortly afterwards, he became homeless. Since Jens has been living in his own apartment again, he sometimes finds himself missing life on the street: “You form friendships there, you meet people, you get food, drinks, clothes — sometimes even a few euros.” He criticizes the fact that homeless people are increasingly being driven away from public spaces.
