Julia

“Depressing, cold, hopeless.” With these three words, Julia describes life on the street. She recounts how, due to false friends and heartbreak in her youth, she slipped into the drug scene and eventually lost her apartment. To finance her addiction, she turned to prostitution. Julia says it is incredibly difficult to break free from addiction. Having her own apartment was the first step, but just as important, she says, are more support services for people struggling with addiction.
