From November 6–7, 2025, the exhibition Home Street Home – Paths Out of Homelessness will be presented at the first International Conference of the Federal Association Housing First Germany, held at Kosmos Berlin.
The project by Berlin-based photographer Debora Ruppert portrays the life journeys of people who, after years of living on the streets, have found their way back home. Her striking portraits tell stories of loss and new beginnings.

The exhibition not only highlights personal experiences but also brings the core idea of Housing First into focus: that having one’s own home is the foundation for all further steps — because housing is a human right.
Following its premiere at the German Bundestag, Home Street Home now becomes part of this international event featuring Housing First founder Dr. Sam Tsemberis. Experts and advocates from across Europe, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, Israel, and Brazil will come together to discuss strategies to end homelessness.
